The AdvancedMD Transcription software module allows an office to more closely manage medical dictation tapes and transcribe with a set of screens that are fully integrated with patient and other data within the AdvancedMD medical software. This close integration results in faster turnaround time for SOAP notes entry and easier, less costly management.

AdvancedMD Transcription is equally useful for clients that use in-house as well as outsourced medical transcription services. Here's how it works:

• A physician will dictate letters, SOAP notes, etc. onto a tape or digital recorder.
• The tape is delivered to one or more transcriptionists, who use their favorite processing software and the Transcription software module to create documents from pre-defined templates.
• The medical transcriptionists then associate each document with a specific patient or visit through the intuitive, easy-to-use Transcription software interface.
• The provider or an office staff can then review/edit the documents from the transcriptionist and print them individually or in a batch.
• The provider or office staff can mark the final documents as approved, locking the medical notes and preventing further edits.
