The heart of any electronic medical record (EMR) is the patient chart. Access, ease of use, and steps necessary to document and charge for a patient visit define the functionality of a well designed patient chart. AdvancedEMR® provides an uncluttered chart that is simple to access and highly customizable.
Patient information at a glance
Similar to paper patient records, AdvancedMD utilizes a patient face sheet as the 'home page' for the client file. AdvancedMD's face sheet contains data about a patient's past visits, problem lists and fully customizable tabs that allow for individual office needs.
Access to charts and patient records has never been easier. Simply click on the patient's name in the visit list to open and access their face sheet and other data.
Customize the information in your chart
Different specialties and offices clearly have different charting needs, and AdvancedEMR® was designed with fully customizable tabs to meet those needs. Choose the tabs you want to create and the fields that appear on those tabs. For example, although AdvancedEMR® includes a tab for lab results, you could create a tab for a specific lab test you perform often, such as a CBC. On a CBC tab, you would create fields such as RBC, WBC, hemoglobin and so on. In addition, you can indicate maximum and minimum ranges for each field, so, results inaccurately entered outside the range are flagged for review.
Document visits your way
Although we provide a charge slip template with current CPT and ICD-9 codes,, AdvancedEMR® is not linked to the coding for billing so you can continue to document visits the way you always have.
- If you prefer typing, you can open a Microsoft Word template.
- If you prefer dictating, you can dictate directly into the computer. As soon as you upload the audio file, it is immediately visible to the transcriptionist.
- If you prefer handwriting notes, you can open a Microsoft Word template on a tablet PC and use the built-in handwriting recognition to convert your writing to type.
- You can even write on plain old paper and scan your documentation into the patient's chart.
With AdvancedEMR® there is no limit to your documentation options.
