Dashboard (EHR)

Orders and Results

We have updated the Orders and Results donut and worklist table with the following:

Confidential Orders/Results
Orders and results marked Confidential-Only Discuss with Patient are highlighted yellow
in the worklist table.

Abnormal Results
Abnormal results are displayed in red in the worklist table.

Patient Cards (EHR)

We have added two new patient cards:

  • Quick Memo
  • Results

Quick Memo Card

Use the new Quick Memo card to add memos and view a list of memos in a patient chart.
Memos marked Confidential/My Eyes Only are highlighted yellow.

Quick Memo Screen
Click the add or edit icon to open the screen where you add a new memo or change
an existing one.

You can add memos that display only in EHR, or in both PM and EHR. All memos added on the
Quick Memo patient card display on the card.

  • EHR and PM memos display on the Quick Memo card in the patient chart.
  • All PM memos also display in PM | Patient Demographics | Memos tab.
  • PM memos marked Hidden in the Type field display in PM on the Patient Memo
    screen.
  • PM memos marked Display in the Type field display when the patient is selected:
    • In PM on the Patient Memo.
    • In EHR on the new Display Memo.

Note: We have also updated the Memos tab in PM | Patient Demographics so patient memos with a type of Display or Hidden will display on the new Quick Memo card in the patient chart in EHR. Memos marked with a type of Display also open on the new Display Memo in EHR.

Results Card

Use the Results card to view all lab results for a patient.
Results marked Confidential/My Eyes Only are highlighted yellow. Abnormal results
display the result name and value in red.

Click the add icon to open the screen where you add a new result.

Patient Note (EHR)

We have updated the look of the Patient Note screen.

Reports (PM/EHR)

PI/MU and PI/ACI Report Update

Health Information Exchange

We have updated the Health Information Exchange measure for Promoting
Interoperability (PI)/Meaningful Use (MU) Modifided Stage 2 and PI/Advancing Care
Information (ACI) (Transition) reports so it is no longer based on the patient encounter. Also,
you no longer need to use a patient note with a referral check box selected that is mapped to
the Referral Visit field on the MU/Quality Measures Field Mapping screen.

Now you can generate a Summary of Care (CDA) document to include the patient in the
measure denominator.

Electronically send the Summary of Care document for the patient to another provider and
confirm the receipt by another provider to meet numerator criteria.

Additionally, the denominator now increases based on the quantity of CDAs generated. For
instance, if two CDAs for the same patient are generated, the denominator increases by two.

Notes:

  • To generate a CDA go to EHR Tools | CIE Outbound and set the CDA Type to
    Referral/Transition of Care.
  • To meet the numerator criteria, the CDA must be successfully accepted by another provider. To see the status of the CDA, go to EHR Reports | e-send Status | CIE Outbound.

Templates (PM/EHR)

New Field Option Available for Template Calculations

You can now use the Check Box field control as a calculation option when setting up a
calculation field on a template.

Prior to the update you could only use a Drop-down, Options Group, or Text Box with a
calculation field.

Fill Pictures From Last Field Value

You can now use the Fill From Last Field Value feature to auto-populate images from the
patient’s last note, so you can view and compare images from the previous note without
exiting the current note.

Note: To use the Fill From Last Field Value feature, you must have the Chart Note Auto Fill field set to Fill From Last Field Value in your user preferences, and use a template with a picture control that has the Auto-Fill Values check box selected in the properties menu.

Video Training Library (PM/EHR)

The following video has been added to the Video Training Library:

  • Customizing the AdvancedInsight™ Dashboard (5:18)
With AdvancedInsight, you can create interactive visual dashboards. The easy to use drag and drop reporting module, allows the user to mix and match data to display the information they need. In this video, we learn how to create a dashboard.

“The money I have invested in AdvancedMD is miniscule compared to the return. I have never been more efficient – ever – in my professional life as I am now.”

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”

Keith Berkowitz, MD
