It’s ICD-10 compliance crunch time

EMR/EHR

It’s ICD-10 compliance crunch time. Only 60 percent of vendors have relevant claims testing products ready for purchase, as described by the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI)1. AdvancedMD is among the first vendors to become ICD-10 certified and continues to surpass other EHR and PM vendors in cloud technology and ICD-10-readiness.

The AdvancedMD SuccessTracker was recognized by Software Advice as an essential tool practices need for claims testing for successful ICD-10 implementation. Software Advice created a guide that describes the different transition stages a practice faces while preparing for ICD-10. The guide highlights different software functionalities that can help your practice with each step.

“AdvancedMD’s ICD-10 functionalities immediately stood out as we were considering which software systems to include in our ICD-10 software guide,” said Software Advice market researcher Gaby Loria. “From the ICD-10 SuccessTracker to the free ICD-10 Toolkit app, it’s clear AdvancedMD has put a great effort into developing solutions for every step of a practice’s code set transition.”

Software Advice features the SuccessTracker in arguably the most important step of the process: generating test claims and identifying necessary workflow changes. The SuccessTracker keeps track of which types of codes should be prioritized for ICD-10 testing, how successful your practice is after testing, and workflow changes that must be made to optimize your process going forward.

Gaby Loria continues, “The ICD-10 transition guide recommends that doctors take several steps to ensure they’re prepared for the October 1 deadline and AdvancedMD is capable of covering them all. We particularly appreciate the ‘Top Code Analysis’ functionalities that allow practice staff to identify the most commonly used ICD-9 codes and note whether or not they should be prioritized for claims testing.”

In consulting our reviews data, current users who rate AdvancedMD highly for ease-of-use and product quality is impressive. In the words of one reviewer, “…it does everything where others might be missing one or two features. My billing is not being rejected; all claims are paid, and it happens with just a click of a button.” See more AdvancedMD user reviews on Software Advice.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
