2023 MIPS Improvement Activities Category Guide
eGuide
The “Improvement Activities” category is one of four categories Medicare providers are measured against for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) under the Quality Payment Program (QPP). The IA category alone is valued at 15% of a provider’s final score. To earn full credit in the “Improvement Activities” category a provider must submit one of the following combinations of activities: 2 high-weighted activities; 1 high-weighted activity & 2 medium weighted activities, or 4 medium-weighted activities.
In this guide we’ve compiled a list of commonly used “Improvement Activities” for AdvancedMD users that are documented in your EHR. Read this short 3-page overview to learn about the improvement activities and how they impact your MIPS final score. We provide a handy checklist to track and manage your IAs for 2023.
