AdvancedMD ICD-10 New Toolkit app
Introducing the new AdvancedMD ICD-10 Toolkit, a free app from the Apple App Store that gives private practices a suite of ICD-10 preparation tools. Track preparedness for ICD-10, compare ICD-9 codes with the ICD-10 equivalents, view potential risk assessments, use as a quick and convenient search for ICD-10 codes, add ICD-10 codes to charge slip templates, and view articles and action plans to guide your transition. The app is a single source resource for practices to assess their ongoing ICD-10 readiness with tools to aid in preparations for the October 1 transition.
Users will be able to easily assess the risk impact from the increased specificity of ICD-10 based on their top ICD-9 codes. The app also includes powerful ICD-10 search features. Users can search by either a word (such as heart), a phrase, or by a single code. The results allow the user to drill down into the ICD-10 sub codes.
Download the new AdvancedMD ICD-10 app for iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod Touch®. Free from Apple App Store.

The ICD-10 Toolkit app was developed by brothers Barlow and Gordon Tucker of the mobile applications engineering department of AdvancedMD. “As Gordon and I discussed what projects we could do that would add value for our customers, ICD-10 was one of the first things to come to mind,” said Barlow Tucker. “We decided that there should be a tool to help everyone prepare for the change and give our community the ability to gauge their readiness,” added Gordon Tucker. “A free app was the clear choice because it’s easy to access and use, plus it allows people to get an ‘ICD-10 checkup’ at any time.”
