Setup guide for the PAX S300 on AdvancedMD

This article describes how to properly connect the PAX S300 terminal scanner and complete the setup within AdvancedMD to process patient payments. When you receive your terminal, you will have already completed the online registration and most of the setup process.

When ordered directly from AdvancedMD, the PAX S300 is preconfigured with special software to connect automatically to our practice management, online payment portal and reporting. Only devices ordered from AdvancedMD are designed to work properly.

Step one

Open box one and remove the scanner.

Step two

Remove screw with small Philips screwdriver. Don’t lose the screw.

Step three

Remove the back plate.

Step four

Open box two and remove the power adaptor cable.

Step five

Take the black end of the power adaptor cable and insert it into the scanner.

Step six

Gently push down on the cable so it lays flat in the track.

Step seven

Replace the back plate and secure it with the screw. (Same one you didn’t lose.)

Step eight

Connect an internet (CAT5) cable to the red connector. (The yellow and blue connectors are not needed.) The internet cable must be connected directly to a network router or switch.
