Leading Integrated EHR and Practice Management Provider Delivers on Ongoing Efforts to Strengthen Private Practices with New Mobility Features
Las Vegas, NV – (MGMA 2014 Annual Conference – Booth 1237, October 27, 2014)
ADP® AdvancedMD a leader in all-in-one, cloud electronic health records (EHR), practice management, medical scheduling, medical billing services as well as a pioneer of big data reporting and business intelligence for smaller medical practices, , today announced the release of new products aimed at increasing the efficiency and viability of private practices. ADP AdvancedMD now delivers mobile ePrescribing capabilities, a new Patient Portal for secure, bi-directional communications and online bill-pay, as well as a new AdvancedInsight Dashboard that provides medical practices with visibility into their most important financial data.
“Practices spoke, and we listened,” said Raul Villar, President, ADP AdvancedMD. “Physicians want to bridge communication gaps between them and the patient and to maintain workflow from their desktop to their iPad seamlessly and securely. Our Patient Portal, ePrescribing capability and AdvancedInsight dashboard maximize the efficiency and mobility of a private practice’s workflow to help improve business and health outcomes.”
ADP AdvancedMD now provides the following
New Patient Portal
The AdvancedMD patient portal gives patients a secure, convenient online portal to schedule appointments, communicate with their doctor, receive lab results, request prescription renewals, and make payments with a credit card.
ePrescribing Abilities
Physicians can now fulfill, from their device of choice, one of their most tedious and risky tasks – prescribing without having a full patient history in front of them – without hesitation. Key features include the creation of new prescriptions from the patient face sheet, eligibility and copay information available in real-time while working with the patient, advanced adverse drug reaction capabilities, and electronic transmission of prescriptions to the pharmacy.
New AdvancedInsight Dashboard
Once reserved for hospitals and large enterprises with the resources to create simplicity from the complexity of data, AdvancedInsight has revolutionized the access to business intelligence for the small practice. A new dashboard provides practices with visibility into their most important financial drivers like never before, including KPI’s, A/R, and more.
Dr. Jed Shay of the Pain Care Center finds the enhancements and ePrescribing a critical component to effective medicine: “You (the physician) can’t be expected to remember exactly what you prescribed – it doesn’t matter if a nurse or two will review the chart, things will fall through the cracks with a paper-based system. Now, if a patient comes to me after hours, on a weekend and says ‘I’m in pain,’ I can open my laptop or iPad, and see that I just saw the patient two weeks ago and they should have plenty of prescription left, where as in the past I wouldn’t have access to this critical information.”
ADP AdvancedMD will be demonstrating these new product enhancements and offering free ICD-10 risk assessments at booth #1237 at the MGMA conference.
