We are happy to announce the following updates to the Report Center:
• The new Report Center has replaced the legacy Report Center.
• Scheduling, AdvancedInsight, and the new Report Center display in the Reports drop-down menu.
• All links in the Reports drop-down menu will open the new Report Center.
• Flex reports, Inventory, and EMR reports are only available in Internet Explorer®.

Insurance tab

Patient Demographics (PM)
We have added a new Patient Information display field on the Insurance tab that contains the patient’s name, date of birth, and social security number, so both insurance and patient information can be found on one screen.

New Interface warnings and errors

AdvancedXchange Error Resolution (PM)
We have added four new messages and updated the Message Description of an existing message to provide coverage for the continually expanding capability of the interface to transfer data and identify data mismatches.
The new messages are:
• AXC102 – Facility NPI Number [NPI Number] was not received or no match was found.
• AXC607 – Required field Financial Class [Financial Class] was not received or no match was found.
• AXC610 – Required fields Patient Last Name and First Name were not received.
• AXC620 – Chart Number [Chart Number] matches a patient already in the PM and cannot be added, nor can charges be added.

Date of service (DOS) and visit number entry

Transaction Entry (PM)
To accommodate clients with visit numbers in the millions, where an eight digit entry could represent either a visit number or a date, users can now indicate if the number entered in the DOS/Visit # field on the Payment Entry and Write-off screens is a date or visit number.

Sort by patient in eRemittance details

eRemittance (PM)
We have changed the eRemittanceDetail screen so it now sorts the EOB by patient name. Prior to this change, the EOB was sorted by visit.

Mobile app overview

AdvancedMobileDoc
We have made several updates to the mobile app, including:
• Added ICD pick lists to the ICD Code Search, and allow you to select multiple codes within the ICD Code Search
• Added the Exclude from State Registries check box to the Immunizations screen. This check box has the same functionality as it does in EHR.
• Added the Pharmacy Savings Plan feature to Prescriptions. This feature has the same functionality as it does in EHR.
• Added new appointment tools to the Schedule so you can now check patients in and out, indicate no shows, copy, cancel, and mark appointments as other. We have also added icons that indicate recurring, checked in, checked out, confirmed, and appointments marked as other.

Updated statements

Patient Statements (PM)
We have made the following changes to the patient statement to make it more understandable:
• Highlighted Pay This Amount field
• Made payment amount larger at the bottom and highlighted it
• Separated Adjustments and Payments
• Added grid and column lines
• Clarified descriptions
• Enlarged Balance due
• Bolded Balance due in columns
• Added ability to include denial reason (based on system default)
• Created more space in address window so nothing is cut off

Email validation

Patient Demographics (PM)
We have enhanced the Email field in the Patient Demographics module with real-time validation. Now when you enter an email address, you can instantly confirm whether it is valid and properly formatted. If an email or server domain does not exist, a warning icon will display next to the email field. You can hover over the icon for information about why the email is invalid.

Unit codes

Prescriptions (PM/EHR)
In response to pharmacies frequently rejecting prescriptions that are sent electronically with Million Units, Mutually Defined, and Not Specified unit codes, we have updated the system to warn you and prevent prescriptions with these Unit codes from being sent electronically.

Patient forms

AdvancedPatient (PM)
We have added a new calculation value field in AdvancedPatient™ patient form templates. In the option group and drop-down controls, you can assign a value used in calculations on a patient form. This is useful for patient questionnaires when you want to calculate a value or percentage, such as in a depression audit questionnaire.

View all DOS and visit numbers associated with a patient form

Chart Files (PM)
You can now view all DOS and Visit numbers associated with a Patient Form in Chart Files using a hover-over tool tip. Previously, you were only able to see the first date of service and visit that was associated with a patient form in Chart Files.

“The money I have invested in AdvancedMD is miniscule compared to the return. I have never been more efficient – ever – in my professional life as I am now.”

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
