Patient Demographics (PM)

Appointment History
We have enhanced the Appointment History tab so you can access the new Appointment Scheduler from the Appointment History screen. When you click the new Appt Scheduler button or double-click an appointment, the selected appointment will open in the Appointment Scheduler.

Note: If you double-click an appointment that has been canceled, moved, or deleted, the appointment will not display in the Appointment Scheduler.

Insurance Tab
We have added the Claim Payer ID (CPID) to the Insurance Address box on the Insurance tab so you can easily view the carrier’s CPID.

Master Files (PM)

Carriers
You now have the ability to mark a carrier as inactive by marking the new Inactive check box in the Carriers master file. When you mark a carrier inactive, the carrier will not display in search results on the patient demographic Insurance tab. You can still search for inactive carriers in the Carriers master file.

Patient Portal (PM)
We have updated the design of the Patient Portal footer and added an Address & Directionsfeature, which opens Google Maps™ and gives patients the ability to easily view directions to your Practice or Facility.

We have also updated which address and phone number displays in the Patient Portal footer. Prior to logging in, the footer displays the Practice contact information. After a patient logs in, the footer displays the contact information based on the Facility associated with the patient’s default Provider.

If the Facility contact information is not available for the Provider, the Practice contact information displays.

Prior to this enhancement, both Practice and Facility contact information were displayed in the footer.

System Defaults Overview (PM)
Copay Payment Code System Default
We have added a new system default, Default Copay Payment Code, that allows to you to default the payment code when posting copayments from the Collect Co-payment screen.

Prior to this enhancement, the payment code default for the copayment screen was PP.

Insurance Effective Date System Default
We have added a new system default, Default Insurance Effective Date, that allows you to select a default for in the Effective Dates field on the Insurance tab. The default is 10 Days Prior to Current Date.

Place of Service System Default
We have added a new system default, Place of Service Defaults From, that allows you to default the Charge Entry place of service based on either the place of service associated with the procedure code in the Charge Code master file, or to the place of service selected for the previously entered charge. The default for existing clients is Charge Code.

Prior to this enhancement, the Place of Service was always based on the default associated with the procedure code in the Charge Code master file.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
