Mobile Updates

Mobile App Updates

We are exited to announce the following new features for the mobile and iPhone apps:

  • Mobile App and Kiosk Two-Factor Authentication
  • Mobile App Dashboard

Mobile App and Kiosk Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second security code to your log in verification to give you enhanced security, just as you can in PM. You receive authentication codes by email or via an authenticator app on your iPhone, and enter the code as part of the log in process.

2FA can be used two ways:

  • Administrators* can require 2FA for the entire office by turning on the 2FA Security Settings and adding any needed Whitelisted IP Addresses.

Note: *Administrators are users assigned the administrator type of Full Administrator or User Administrator.

  • When 2FA is not required for the entire office, individual users can set up 2FA in their own User Profile for additional security.

Mobile App Dashboard

Use the mobile app Dashboard to quickly filter, view, and interact with patient chart workflow items just as you can in EHR. The Dashboard includes:

  • Donut filters and badges that display the number of priority, held, and total unsigned chart items and messages.
  • A Worklist table (comparable to the Review Bin) where you can review and sign patient chart items.
Select Multiple Worklist Table Items

Tap the Multi-select icon to select multiple items in the Worklist table. When you tap the Multi-select icon, the table displays check boxes next to all items in the table, and additional buttons display at the bottom of the screen. There is no multi-select mode for items displayed in the table when you tap the Priority badge.

Tap check boxes to select multiple items or tap Select All, and then tap the required action:

  • Review
  • Sign
    – Tap to display additional tools. The tools available depend on the item selected.

    • Mark High Priority
    • Mark Normal Priority
    • Hold
    • Release (release item from hold)
    • Reply
    • Mark Low Priority
    • Mark Done
    • Mark to Do

“The money I have invested in AdvancedMD is miniscule compared to the return. I have never been more efficient – ever – in my professional life as I am now.”

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
