Earlier this year, our team released AI-assisted Pre-visit Summaries, part of AI Clinical Assistant. Integrated into the AdvancedMD EHR platform, AI-automation creates summaries based on recent patient data—before the actual patient encounter begins. This easy-to-use tool helps providers prepare for patient visits without having to navigate multiple screens or dig through patient information.  

We’ve also broadened our AI capabilities with our recent upgrade of AI-assisted transcription to include ambient listening and additional dynamic note formats. Learn more about this expanded functionality and other features coming soon below.  

AI Scribe (Ambient Listening & Transcription) 

AI Scribe is designed specifically for the ambulatory care community, coupling its ambient listening functionality with a medical dictionary of terms. AI Scribe automates transcription tasks, capturing natural conversations, including filtering speech for relevancy and speaker changes. 

Most importantly, AI Scribe gives full control to clinicians, allowing them to record, pause, or stop the automated transcription and recording at any time.  

After the visit, AI Scribe can generate documentation in your choice of five full-dynamic note formats.

• Psychiatric Evaluation

AI Transcription for Telehealth (Coming soon)

For private practices that offer telehealth services, AdvancedMD AI Transcription for Telehealth integrates an optional AI transcription agent into the provider’s virtual care workflow. Providers can invite the AI agent into a telehealth patient encounter at the start of a session. To help providers save time, while also giving them full control over the technology, the AI agent can be set to default “On” or “Off” based on the appointment type.  

After the call, the audio file is transcribed by AI Clinical Assistant and saved to the patient’s appointment in EHR. Once the visit note is saved and linked to the appointment in the patient’s chart, the provider can view and further use the transcribed notes as part of their clinical workflow on the AdvancedMD EHR desktop platform. 

AI Transcription for Mobile (Coming soon) 

The AI Transcription for Mobile feature from AdvancedMD offers an efficient way for providers to capture clinical notes on the go, all from the convenience of their mobile device.  

Providers can dictate notes or record a visit with their smartphone or tablet. Once the recording is complete, AI technology analyzes the recording and generates a transcript of the visit.  

AI Clinical Assistant Action Items (Coming soon) 

AI Clinical Assistant analyzes the visit transcript and generates suggested clinical note updates for the patient chart, organizing them into an actionable list. Clinical suggestions include: 

• Problems (direct extract) 

• Medications 

• Allergies 

• Risk Factors 

• Lab Orders 

• Appointments 

• Messages 

• Immunizations 

These clinical suggestions can be ported into the patient chart, reducing the amount of time spent on manual entry.  

In addition to clinical suggestions, AI Clinical Assistant also extracts data that is typically documented inside notes, including:

• Medical History 

• Family History 

• Social History 

• History of Present Illness
