Application Services has been rolled out over the course of the last 12 months, and we are excited to announce that it now serves as your single location to request and add new and replacement providers for your practice. You can view quotes, check the status of your purchase requests, and approve or deny requests in one convenient location, speeding up the purchasing process, reducing extra documentation, and giving you more control over your office key. You can also request and add provider-level services such as:
- Surescripts ePrescribing
- EPCS (electronic prescription of controlled substances)
- Immunizations
- EDI Agreements
In making these requests and additions, the ability to bundle multiple providers or services into a bulk request helps to streamline your experience and simplify the process, grouping requests as you now have a single quote to approve.
Tracking your cases also got easier thanks to Case Management. You can engage our team through confirmation emails we send as part of your request.
Keeping the module focused on your current work is even easier, thanks to an archiving function, in both the ‘To Submit’ and ‘Approvals’ tabs. Simply archive as needed or wait for the system to auto-archive at 120 days.
Giving you more control helps ensure that you can expect to go for from request to live as soon as you approve. NOTE: Services such as SureScripts have additional steps that will go beyond the initial provider setup times mentioned.
As a reminder, here’s a run down on the core functionality:
App Services – Access
Business managers can add additional ordering contacts, so they can approve or deny purchase requests and quotes.
Provider Add – Comments
When requesting providers or services, you can add comments to provide relevant information to your team, working App Services.
Replacement Providers
Indicate which provider is being replaced for an easy, single method for activation and deactivation of the new and replaced provider.
Provider Level Services – For New or Existing Providers
Use the new Provider Level Services request type to open the Request Details pane where you can select the provider and services you want to add to their account. When the request is saved, it displays on the To Submit tab as a new Service Add-on request. Important Note: Billing services can continue adding providers to office keys as usual using the providers (Professional) system setting. When you add a provider, a message now displays where you can open the Application Services module to request add-on services.
Bulk Service Adds
Bundling provider or services together in a single request simplifies the process and provides a single quote for approval.
Review & Submit Tab
This allows you to see the provider and services you are requesting, with quotes auto-generated, immediately. The Approval tab gives business managers a chance to view and approve quotes with providers now activated immediately upon approval.
Case Management & Confirmation Email Communications
You can track your cases in Case Management, or engage with AdvancedMD via the confirmation emails received from your request.
Archiving of old or unwanted requests and denials
You can now archive requests on both the To Submit and Approvals tabs. This enhancement makes it easier to focus on requests that require your attention by clearing requests that are no longer needed or that need to be reviewed later. Hint: Denied requests can be archived on the To Submit tab.
CBO Function
Application Services is CBO enabled, so you can approve or deny purchases for sub-keys while logged in to the CBO Master Key.
