Summer 2015 Newsletter: The IntelligentPractice EHR partner summer newsletter

June 1, 2015

Dear valued client:

We are thrilled that Marlin Equity has signed a definitive agreement to purchase AdvancedMD in mid-September. I will remain as CEO, ending my 26-year career with ADP. The AdvancedMD team is committed to our extraordinary mission of providing medical practices the freedom to remain independent with flexible and insightful medical office technologies. Marlin is a perfect fit for AdvancedMD as both of our organizations share a common commitment and passion to increase client cash flow, reduce administrative burdens and improve patient care. We are now well positioned to accelerate product investment and will continue to deliver best-in-class service to our loyal clients and partners.

We have recently completed many fantastic new products, including our Patient Relationship Management (PRM) suite. The PRM will save your practice valuable time and streamline your workflow with a patient check-in kiosk, allowing patients to securely read, edit and sign personal information and documents that are automatically added to their chart. Likewise, several new features have been added to the AdvancedMD iPad app. These innovations are aimed at helping you automate your office workflow, so you can focus even more on your patients.

Tremendous ICD-10 resources are available to facilitate your ability to meet the October 1 requirements. You can gauge the preparedness of your people, processes and technology at anytime with the AdvancedMD real-time readiness calculator. The ICD-10 SuccessTracker™ is a simple project management tool to help you prepare your staff. You can convert ICD-9 codes with our ICD-10 toolkit app. A special cross-functional team, the ICD-10 Posse, consists of more than a dozen ICD-10 experts who are dedicated to helping your practice achieve compliancy through live webinar trainings. To schedule free help, contact the ICD-10 Posse.

We look forward to providing many valuable innovations to drive the financial performance in your practice with improved visibility and increased patient satisfaction. Please share this newsletter with everyone in your office. We appreciate your continued support and business.

Senior Director, Implementation Services

Two important initiatives have been completed to make the implementation process of new products easier. Implementation time of new products and services has been reduced through specialty-specific key configuration and personalized one-on-one coaching with a trainer.
All-new, shorter videos now comprise the AdvancedMD video training library (VTL). Each video is short and easily consumable, giving you specific training on hundreds of topics. The VTL offers product training for staff of all skill levels, including new hires.

New document submission process
We recently sent a very important announcement regarding the new method for document transmission. Updox is an interface similar to email, but easier to use, more transparent and includes a two-way communication method. If you have not received an email from Updox containing an invitation code, please contact MBS services. There is no additional charge to use the service. Register with Updox today, as the current upload/fax method will soon be discontinued.
We recommend the staff member who normally submits your practice documents to our MBS team, should be the same person who manages your Updox account. This person should install the Updox software to their primary computer. Please have a Twain compliant document scanner to perform transmissions, which should only take about 20 minutes. Please follow these three easy steps:
Step 1: Install Java
Step 2: Register for Updox
Step 3: Connect to MBS
Free financial practice analysis
Have you scheduled a free periodic financial analysis for your practice? We can provide your RVU or trends in your encounters. These are just a couple of the key performance indicators (KPI’s) reviewed in each analysis. Contact client services to schedule your free analysis.Learn more about our MBS services & get a free price quote.

Mobility pack
As part of our push to provide additional mobility tools, we will be developing tools that will provide the data when and where it’s most convenient. Look forward to added functionality to the iPhone app and support for the provider schedule and internal messages on the Apple Watch.

Stay tuned…
Over the coming months, we’ll announce additional new products and enhancements to help you prepare for ICD-10, increase mobility within your office and offer more partnerships in the Marketplace to improve your office workflow.

The ADP Way

Just over a year ago, we created the ADP Way initiative with the purpose of simplifying and making the AdvancedMD experience better for our clients. A special focus of ADP Way has been placed on improving the client experience. ADP Way initiatives have been divided into four distinct areas of focus.

  • Post-implementation client experience, support & retention strategies
  • Training for new clients & internal associates
  • Additional self-help training resources
  • An enhanced user experience with more support options, like 1:1 training, simplified products & the utilization of additional technologies

We have already made great strides in achieving a better user experience. We have successfully started a new client pilot program and completed 29 video training library (VTL) videos, with a total of 80,000 views since the ADP Way launch. We have also completed a practice management video suite, created shorter and more digestible VTL videos, and created a more collaborative internal team with the purpose of creating a positive client experience. Stay tuned for additional updates.
