Less Friction, More Focus: What’s New in AdvancedMD This October

AdvancedMD continues to reduce friction in daily work, from editing details in place to quickly fixing user errors to automating routine work and protecting critical integrations. Here are the newest features designed to help you spend more time with your patients and less time behind a screen.

Practice Management

• Edit Supervising Providers directly on the Provider Billing IDs (BIDS) screen: Update the Supervising Provider without leaving the BIDS screen, helping you stay focused and complete tasks faster.
• Correct collection notes within 24 hours: Fix typos or minor mistakes in collection notes yourself without creating a separate note just to make a correction. Requires the Collections Module.
• Real-time password validation: Password requirements now update in real time as you type, making it easier to create a compliant password on the first try.
• Automatically clean up write-offs on reversal: When enabled, the write-off tied to a reversed insurance payment voids itself automatically — no manual cleanup needed before reposting the corrected payment.

Patient Experience

• See patient, billing and insurance details in one place: The Assign Forms screen now shows expandable Patient, Responsible Party and Insurance details right in the panel. Confirm who’s responsible for a bill or which insurance is on file without switching screens.

Electronic Health Records

• Manage orders in one place: Sign, cancel, review or delete orders from a single location. The entire order lifecycle now lives within the Orders modal.

AI Clinical Assistant

• AI surfaces your order faster: Our AI Clinical Assistant can now suggest the order it believes you need, eliminating the need to build orders from scratch.
• More AI features on mobile: On mobile, our AI Clinical Assistant can also act on medication and allergy suggestions as well as capture referrals in the moment.
