Digital Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: August 2026 Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Our Commitment
AdvancedMD is committed to ensuring that all patients, caregivers, and healthcare consumers can access and use our digital products with equal ease and effectiveness, regardless of disability. We believe that accessible technology is not merely a legal obligation — it is a fundamental expression of respect for every person who relies on our platform to manage their healthcare.
Scope
This accessibility statement applies to the following AdvancedMD digital products and interfaces that are used by or accessible to patients and the general public:
- Patient Portal — the web-based portal through which patients schedule appointments, complete intake forms, access medical records, send secure messages, and manage their healthcare information
- Patient Kiosk — the intake application used by patients to complete check-in, intake forms, and other pre-visit workflows
Testing & Ongoing Monitoring
AdvancedMD employs a multi-layered testing methodology to ensure continuous conformance:
Automated Testing
Automated accessibility scans are run against all Patient Portal pages at scheduled intervals.
Manual Screen Reader Testing
Prior to every major release, trained QA engineers conduct end-to-end task completion testing across critical patient journeys using assistive technology combinations.
Third-Party Audits
AdvancedMD commissions an independent accessibility audit and updated VPAT/ACR from a qualified third-party vendor. Audit findings are prioritized for remediation, and results are published as part of the updated conformance report. As of June 2026, A formal accessibility audit has been completed for the Patient Portal. Remediation efforts are currently underway, and engineering work to address identified findings is in progress. A formal Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) / Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) will be made available to clients upon completion of the third-party audit and remediation validation process, which is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026 or early 2027.
