Cardiology, Orthopedic Surgery Practices Rank ADP AdvancedMD in Top Three of EMR Systems in Black Book Poll, Company Captures Top Ranking in Ob-Gyn
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – August 9, 2011 – ADP® AdvancedMD, a leader in cloud electronic health record (EHR), practice management, medical scheduling software, and billing applications for medical practices and medical billing services, today announced that it has been recognized as the top Electronic Management Record (EMR) software vendor in the U.S. by practices in the Obstetric-Gynecologist (Ob-Gyn) specialty, according to the Black Book EMR 2011 rankings. The rankings, based on responses from 30,000 healthcare professionals, physician practice administrators and hospital leaders in the IT arena, also placed ADP AdvancedMD among the top three EMR vendors for cardiology and orthopedic surgery practices.
Black Book Rankings, well known internationally for accurate, impartial customer satisfaction surveys in the services and software industries, conducted a sweeping four month user poll to determine the highest ranked Electronic Health and Medical Record organizations for 2011. Respondents of the poll were asked to consider 18 key performance indicators including implementation success, productivity, outcomes and crucial stimulus fund requirements. With a crowded marketplace of over 1,000 vendors, the poll provides an important guide to EMR leaders in overall usability and customer satisfaction.
“Our top ranking is validation of ADP AdvancedMD’s ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation,” said Raul Villar, president of ADP AdvancedMD. “ADP AdvancedMD continues to increase its leadership in the EMR/EHR industry with innovative cloud technology that enables ease of implementation and use.”
“ADP AdvancedMD was selected by Ob-Gyn practice professionals as the top EMR provider, narrowed down from a field of hundreds of EMR vendors” said Doug Brown, managing director at Black Book Rankings. “In our poll, the company’s solutions also resonated with cardiology and orthopedic surgery practices, who ranked them in second place.”
Black Book Rankings notes that the EMR market is expected to grow an average of nearly 20% annually, reaching $6.1 billion in 2015, in part due to the U.S. government’s $31 billion meaningful use incentive program. EMR is a part of healthcare information technology that is used to make paperless computerized patient data in order to increase efficiency of hospital systems and reduce chances of errors in medical records. A substantial growth rate (more than 16% ) of the U.S. healthcare IT spending and the government initiatives towards development of a nationwide healthcare information network are expected to push EMR implementation across the healthcare sector in the U.S.
