Dear AdvancedMD client:
I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as president of AdvancedMD. I’m excited for a more intimate role and to focus my efforts into making AdvancedMD easier to do business with. We’re making significant positive changes to our leadership structure within support, product and engineering. I’ll announce these changes in the near future.
I need your help to learn what AdvancedMD can do better. Even though we continue to grow, we know we can improve. Please email me at [email protected] with your helpful suggestions.
Our growth as a company allows us to provide better technologies and better services to you, your practice and your patients. We’re fortunate to have a user conference like never before, so I want to personally invite you to Evo from October 2-5 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Walt Disney World, Florida.
Although we’re overwhelmed with the number of registrants thus far, this is your conference and we want as many people from your practice there as possible. You’ll enjoy a well-rounded educational experience that is designed to help you become internal experts to run your practice more efficiently. The Expert Hall is a conference highlight that pays for the conference by itself. It will be filled with knowledgeable staff from support, professional services, implementation, and product development teams to answer all your questions. This complementary time would normally be priced at $250/hr, but you can get all the help you need for free, as part of your conference pass.
We’re offering discounted pricing when you register multiple people from within your practice. Please contact support or [email protected] with any questions. See what happened at Evo18.
Thank you for your support and for being an integral part of the AdvancedMD family. Please forward this newsletter to everyone in your office.
Sincerely,
Amanda Hansen
President
Frequently-asked Questions
1. Finding your submitter ID in AdvancedPM.
Your submitter ID is very easy to lookup in the AdvancedMD practice manager. Use the steps below to find it:
- Go to Master Files > Submitter Types
- Click the blue ellipsis button in the Code: field.
- See your Submitter ID in the column of the same name.
2. How to identify visits that exist with no charges posted.
There are sometimes visits where no charges have been posted and wonder how to find these visits. The most common cause is when a new visit is created, instead of using the visit that is already linked to the appointment. Visits without charges that shouldn’t have charges posted to them may be deleted or marked as cancelled/no-show to avoid confusion.
- Run the Missed Visits report: go to Reports > Appointments > Missed Visits
- Enter/select your desired filters from the following.
- Date Range (required)
- Provider
- Group
- Column
- Facility
3. Click ‘Run Report’ to see the report.
Did You Know?
Sorting the Missed Visits report will show by chart number. Since those chart numbers are read left to right, like text, by the system, they can appear unorganized. This is because any numbers shorter than the longest number effectively get zeros appended to them. This makes chart 132 look like 1320 and inserts it after chart 1287. The best workaround is to add zeros to the start of all chart numbers so the system cannot be confused about any short numbers. Doing this in the above example would place 0132 well above 1287 since it is now the smallest number.

Read these comments about three of our professional service consultants:
Peace of Mind Services about Doug Harper:
“AdvancedMD software is a dream and I talk about it every chance I get to anyone who is not using it. It is very user-friendly, easy to understand, navigate, and has a lot of customization and features for the detailed-orientated user. Implementation went very well. Cori and Doug really made sure that no question was left unanswered and they gave me the tools to make this system really work for us. Regarding my training, Doug was more than I ever could have asked for. He was phenomenal at making sure all of our needs were not only met but explained in great detail. If I had a question, he was on it without delay and I never felt like that ball was dropped or I was left behind. I couldn’t have done this without him and while I’m sure other consultants do a wonderful job, I wouldn’t want anyone else to go on this ride with me. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.”
Exceptional Dermatology Care about Pallavi Sharma:
“I recently had the privilege of working with Pallavi who assisted me with seven customized templates for our patient portal. I found Pallavi to be extremely professional and most accommodating to our specific business requirements. It isn’t often that someone is willing to go out of their way to ensure client satisfaction and her can-do attitude was most appreciated.”
Advanced Care Management about Heather Bartholomew:
“Heather was an exceptional trainer. We could not have asked for anyone better. I’m going to miss our regular training sessions because she was so knowledgeable, personable and genuinely cared as to whether I learned all that was needed to know with AdvancedMD.”
