AID Sponsor AdvancedMD to Cover Half of Dues for Next 40 New Members

Supporting independent doctors fits company’s mission

Underscoring its support for America’s independent doctors, AdvancedMD, a healthcare technology company that offers independent doctors an integrated suite of cloud solutions, has become AID’s newest corporate sponsor.

As part of its sponsorship, AdvancedMD is covering $250, or half, of the $500 annual AID membership dues for the next 40 doctors who join AID and mention this announcement. Thus, these new members will only have to pay $250 for their first year of membership.

As part of our mission to help private practices succeed, AdvancedMD is proud to support the Association of Independent Doctors,” said President Amanda Hansen. “We believe in helping organizations that speak up for practitioners choosing to maintain independence, thus ensuring Americans have options when they seek medical care.”

Based in South Jordan, Utah, AdvancedMD supports independent physicians and their staff with a comprehensive set of solutions for practice management, electronic health records, telemedicine, patient relationship management, and business analytics reporting. The company also offers a flexible outsourced billing option for practices looking to use a third-party billing company.

AdvancedMD serves only independent practices. “The company’s 710 employees provide the tools to achieve remarkable clinical and business outcomes for nearly 37,000 practitioners across 13,000 practices and 700 medical billing companies,” Hansen added. Nearly 6.5M insurance claims are processed every month on the AdvancedMD billing platform.

“We are always looking for partnerships that add value to our doctor members,” said Marni Jameson Carey, AID’s executive director. “This was a perfect fit, as both of our organizations are committed to helping independent doctors stay that way.”

With AdvancedMD, medical practices can manage higher patient volumes with improved productivity and financial outcomes, while patients can electronically engage with their providers and healthcare experience, Hansen said.

In becoming AID’s newest corporate sponsor, AdvancedMD joins AID’s other sponsors, which include ISMIE, a leading medical professional liability insurance company; The Gail Bowden Team of SVN, a commercial real estate group specializing in medical office space; and Updox, a national healthcare coordination and connectivity service. “The money I have invested in AdvancedMD is miniscule compared to the return. I have never been more efficient – ever – in my professional life as I am now.”

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
