Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes

eGuide

A few years ago, we published an eBook entitled “3 Tips for Stopping Revenue Leaks.” In it, we identified three key areas many practices were struggling with at the time that negatively impacted revenue. A lot has changed in the short few years since that initial publication. The pace and types of change in healthcare delivery have surprised even the most agile and continue at an unrelenting rate. All this change is compounding the rate of revenue leakage impacting physicians, and especially independent physician practices. We see the impacts in the form of continuing high rates of physician burnout, staff turnover, high rates of embezzlement, and more red ink on the bottom line.

So our team of researchers went back to the grindstone to uncover some effective and affordable ways to deal with practice revenue leaks. What we discovered is all that’s required is to change some things – or something – and keep at it.

Keeping abreast of change only requires changes to new and better ways of dealing with what’s coming at us. With that in mind, we’ve created an updated list of three tips for stopping revenue leaks in today’s more challenging and unpredictable market. Included are tips to address two of the most seismic shifts in the healthcare delivery landscape: the patient-consumer mindset, and provider + staff overburden.

  • Baseline Catch-up. Automating front office processes and tips to eliminating rejected claims.
  • Online Excellence for Consumer-Patients. Why (and how) patients now treat healthcare as a consumer purchase decision.
  • Hyper-efficient Workflows. How technologies can support unified workflow, security and information access, and simplify data management.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
