Mobile App (Mobile)

Important Note: The Front Office, Patient Kiosk, and AdvancedMobileDoc™ apps are frequently updated with new features and critical compatibility changes. We highly recommend you enable automatic updates on devices running these mobile apps. To prevent compatibility issues and to ensure you are on the most up-to-date version, you will be prompted to update your app if you are not running the latest version. You can dismiss this prompt for a short time, but you will eventually be required to update your app.

Quality Measure Updates
We have made the following enhancements to capture data needed for Quality Measure reporting for the 2018 reporting year:

  • Immunization Not Given Reason field
  • Prescription Not Given check box and Reason field
  • Problem List Descriptor field
  • Meaningful Use (MU) and Quality Measures (QM) field marking

Look for additional documentation and a webinar later this year to cover these changes.

Immunization Not Given Reason
To comply with Quality Measures that include immunization data criteria, some immunizations require a Not Given Reason to be recorded when the Status field is set to Refused. The Not Given Reason field functions the same as it does in EHR.

Prescription Not Given Check Box and Reason Field for Quality Measures
To comply with Quality Measures that include prescription data criteria, specific prescriptions require a Reason or Not Given Reason to be recorded.

When a prescription that requires a Reason or Not Given Reason is selected for a patient, then the Not Given check box and Reason field display. These fields function the same as they do in PM and EHR.

Descriptor Field for Quality Measures
Some problem codes require a SNOMED code Descriptor to comply with Quality Measures. The Descriptor field displays when a problem code that requires a SNOMED code Descriptor is selected. This field functions the same as it does in EHR.

Meaningful Use (MU) and Quality Measures (QM) Field Marking
We have added Meaningful Use (MU) and Quality Measure (QM) field marking to patient notes in the mobile app. The field markings function the same as they do in EHR.

Patient Notes in the iPhone Mobile App
You can now view, edit, and create patient notes in the iPhone mobile app, just as you can using the iPad® mobile app. There are two ways to start a new patient note:

  • To create a note not tied to an appointment, go to the Patient Facesheet and tap the Patient Note icon to open the Chart Notes screen. Tap the Add icon.
  • To create a note tied to an appointment, go to the Visiting Today tab on the Patients screens, swipe a patient to the left, and tap the Add Patient Note icon.

Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Fields
You can now record a patient’s sexual orientation and gender identity in the Add and Edit Patient screens using the newly added Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation fields. This enhancement functions the same as it does in PM and is for compliance with future MACRA requirements.

Tap the Patient icon, and then tap the Add icon to open the Add Patient screen

Prescription Renewal Request Sort and View Patient Chart
You can now tap Sort on the Prescription Renewal Requests screen to view renewal requests by Date or Patient Name.
You can also swipe a renewal request to the left and tap View Chart to open the patient’s chart.

Update File Browser for iOS 11
On devices using iOS 11, we now support the new file browser when adding files from your iCloud® drive in Documents and Images.

iPhone Landscape View
You can now use the iPhone mobile app in landscape view, just as you can on the iPad.

Review Bin Item Priority
You can now view and sort by an item’s Priority in the Review Bin. High priority items are indicated by a red exclamation point.
