AdvancedPM & AdvancedEHR

Master Files (PM)

Email and Text Templates
You can now test appointment reminder templates in the Email and Text Templates master file to ensure your reminders are formatted correctly and meet length requirements for emails and texts.
Note: The name of the Test Email/Text button changes, depending on which template tab is selected (Email or Text).
Go to Master Files | Templates | Email and Text Templates.

  1. Create appointment reminder templates for email and text as usual.
  2. Select the Email or Text tab.
  3. Click Test Email/Text.
  4. Enter a Test Email or a Test Phone Number to view the test appointment reminder.
  5. If necessary, enter a Test Patient Name and Test Provider Name.
  6. Click Test Email/Text.

The email or phone number you entered will receive a test appointment reminder.
Note: The merge field data included in test emails and texts is random and cannot be changed.

Scheduler (PM/EHR)

Find an Appointment
The find feature can now consider the number of Maximum Appointments per Time Slot, set in the Scheduler Setup master file, when searching in columns that allow multiple appointments per time slot for open appointment times. In response to client requests, we have added the Observe max appointments per slot check box. Selecting this option when you search for open appointment times adds the maximum slots setting as a criteria when searching.
Note: When you select Observe max appointments per slot, Find Open Time will find the first open time indefinitely for any column with the Maximum appointments per time slot set to zero (0), which means unlimited appointments per time slot.

The original design of Find Open Time only located completely empty time slots.

Go to Scheduler | Find Appointment | Find Open Time.

Video Training Library (PM/EHR)

The following video has been added to the Video Training Library:

  • Using Patient Portal (4:55)
Welcome to the Using Patient Portal video Training. Patient Portal gives your patients a secure, convenient online portal to interact with your office and access their clinical records. Utilizing the Patient Portal aids clinicians in meeting health care regulation requirements. In this video we show how patients can register for the Patient Portal, complete forms, pay outstanding balances, request prescription refills, electronically transmit clinical summaries, and request appointments all from the Patient Portal.

The following video has been updated:

  • ePrescribing (7:28)
Updated to include new toolbar, images to match the current look and feel of AdvancedEHR. Review Bin was removed from the video in that clients should be using the Dashboard for eRx.

“The money I have invested in AdvancedMD is miniscule compared to the return. I have never been more efficient – ever – in my professional life as I am now.”

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”

Keith Berkowitz, MD
