We have added an exciting new AdvancedMessaging™ tool designed for contacting selected groups of patients via email, text, or both. This extremely flexible and powerful tool is available as part of the AdvancedPatient Suite and in AdvancedTelemedicine. Patients you select will receive your messages if they have not opted out of the text or email delivery method.
AdvancedMessaging lets you set up a campaign that can be used once or saved for regularly contacting specific sets of patients by choosing demographic and clinical Selection Criteria. After preparing the message and selecting the recipient criteria, AdvancedMessaging provides a list of which patients will be sent the message. At this point you can return and edit any part of the message setup, then send it.
This feature is perfect for selecting a group of patients with similar diagnoses or demographics and sending them reminders for preventative procedures or follow up appointments. It also can be used to reach out to patients with specific information about their health, or pass on information about your practice.
Patients Opted in by Default
All patients are opted in. If a patient does not want to receive email or text messages from your practice through AdvancedMessaging, they can unsubscribe using settings at the bottom of an email.
Mobile Phone and Email Address Requirements
Even though all patients are opted in automatically, the patient must have a phone capable of receiving texts and a valid, active email address entered in their demographics before they can receive messages and emails. You can verify that the prerequisites are met in the Demographics screen.
Note: This screen can also be use to opt out a patient if they call or ask while in the office.
