AdvancedPM & AdvancedEHR

AdvancedCQM (PM)

AdvancedCQM™ eCQM Measures are now available to all office keys using both AdvancedMD® PM and EHR.

Users with the Admin role selected in PM Role Setup can go to Modules | AdvancedCQM to access the module and run reports for eCQM measures. The AdvancedCQM Multiple Provider Report privilege in Role Setup is selected by default for users with the Admin role.

To add AdvancedCQM privileges to other roles in your practice, go to Utilities | Role Setup.

Note: Most eCQM measures require you to use eCQM Quality Measure note and subnote templates in patient charts. You must import and enter data into at least one eCQM Quality Measures note or subnote template in EHR to create reports in the AdvancedCQM module.

Go to EHR Admin | Templates | Library and import the eCQM Quality Measures note or subnote templates for the reporting measures you need to run reports for.

AdvancedReputation (PM)

Advanced Reputation Dashboard
The Advanced Reputation dashboard now displays data for the last 30 days. This enhancement gives you a more comprehensive view of your online reputation. Prior to this enhancement the Advanced Reputation dashboard displayed data for the last seven days.

Billing (PM)

Invoice Billing Feature
You can now bill for medical services provided to a business or organizational entity using our new Invoice Billing feature. For example, a school district might contract with your practice to provide annual flu shots to their employees. Once the school district is set up as an invoice entity, you can assign patients, post charges, send invoices, and manage payments. You can create patient records for invoice billing patients only, as well as adding invoice charges for non-invoice patients. Use the following screens to set up invoice billing:

  • Invoice Entity – Create business entities
  • Invoice Billing (Create Invoices Screen) – Generate invoices
  • Invoice Payment – Manage and disburse payments

Note: Contact Client Support Services for more information about using this feature in your practice.

Setup
Assign User Role Privilege
Assign the Invoice Billing privilege to users who require access to Invoice Billing. Go to Utilities | Role Setup | Patient and Invoice Billing | Invoice Billing.

Invoice Entity Screen
Use the Invoice Entity screen to set up an organizational entity for billing purposes, including contact information and statement formatting selections. In addition, you can create patient statements and generate past invoices and view financial history for the selected entity.

Create Invoice Entities
Go to Billing | Invoice Billing | Invoice Entity.

  1. Enter contact information for the Invoice Entity.
  2. Enter a Note, if applicable. Notes are limited to 255 characters. Note text is not included on invoice statements.
  3. Select the Invoice Format.
    • Invoice Summary
    • Invoice Detail
    • Diagnosis – Detail
    • Diagnosis and Description – Detail
  4. Enter Invoice Frequency information, if applicable. This information is for informational purposes and not included on invoices.
  5. Enter MaxDollar Amount Per Invoice. If the invoice amount exceeds the maximum dollar amount entered, the system automatically splits the invoice.
  6. Enter Terms information, if applicable. This information is for informational purposes and is not included on invoices.
  7. Click Save. The account number is automatically generated by the system and displayed in the Account field.

Manage Invoice Entities

  • Audit – Run a report displaying changes to an entity account.
  • History – View the Financial History screen for the selected entity
  • Invoices – Regenerate past invoices for the selected entity
  • Statement – Create a patient statement.

Create a Patient Record
Create new patient records for patients receiving medical services on behalf of an Invoice Entity. To bill a business entity charges for medical services you have provided to a patient, you will need to associate the patient with the Invoice Entity (instead of a Responsible Party).

Invoice Billing (Create Invoices) Screen
Use the Create Invoices screen to create billing invoices. Invoices can be generated in several formats, including detail or summary, and with or without diagnosis detail. In addition, a confidential message can be created to display on all invoices, and updated as needed.

Create an Invoice
Go to Billing | Invoice Billing | Invoice Billing

Invoice Payments Screen
Use the Invoice Payment screen to disburse and manage payments received from Invoice Entities for medical services provided. In addition, you can disburse overpayments to other invoices, and also choose to exclude certain charges from being processed with an invoice if required.

Disburse a Payment
Go to Billing | Invoice Billing | Invoice Payment

Exclude a Visit Charge from Invoice Processing
You can choose to exclude one or more charges from a visit before you process an invoice.
Go to Billing | Invoice Billing | Invoice Payment

Manage Overpayments (Unapplied) Payments
When a business entity payment exceeds the invoice amount an overpayment is created. You can apply the overpayment to another invoice on the account.
Go to Billing | Invoice Billing | Invoice Payment

Dashboard (EHR)

We have made the following updates to the Dashboard:

  • Moved the Not Signed donut and table category for chart items into the table filter.
  • Added a countdown timer for classic mode.

Dashboard Chart Item Categories
We have removed the Not Reviewed category from the Dashboard chart item donuts and table and made it an option in the drop-down filter for each chart item. Chart items on the Dashboard donuts and table will now only display the Not Signed category. This change makes it easier to determine at a glance which items have not been signed. The name of the Staff Assignments filter for chart items has also been changed to Filter By.

Countdown Timer
We have added a countdown timer to EHR that displays on the classic home pages to indicate when we will remove the ability to open EHR in classic mode. On October 27th, 2018, the Back to Classic button will be removed and EHR will open to the Dashboard. After the update, the Switch to Beta button will only open the new patient chart.

You will still be able to access the classic Review Bin and Schedule, as well as Messages, and the MU Dashboard through the menus on the EHR Dashboard. Split Mode will be removed because it is no longer necessary.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
