AdvancedPatient (PM)
Campaigns
Now, when you send campaigns to a patient or groups of patients, patients with any status selected in the Inactive/Deceased field on the Patient Information screen will be automatically excluded.
This will save your office time and money following up with inactive patients to complete campaigns.
Click Patient icon | select a patient | click the Patient Messaging Preferences icon.
Appointment Reminders (PM)
Messaging History
We have updated the Messaging History screen with new, detailed messaging Sent substatuses for text and voice. Use these statuses to track, audit, and evaluate reminders and campaigns for patients. You can run the Patient Messaging Status report and gauge the success your patient outreach.
- Text – When a text reminder is sent, it can now have the following sub-statuses:
- Delivered – Received confirmation of delivery from cell carrier
- Undelivered – Received a receipt from cell carrier that message was not delivered.
- Voice – When a voice call reminder is sent, it can now have the following sub-statuses:
- Busy
- Completed
- Hung up
- In progress
- No-answer
- Ringing
- Voice mail

Group Appointments (PM)
The new Group Appointment enhancement in the Scheduler is perfect for practices that schedule group sessions or concurrent appointments with multiple family members.
Overview
With the Group Appointment feature, you can:
- Create, view, and edit Group Appointments in the new Group Appointment screen.
- Add and remove individual patients in a Group Appointment.
- View individual patient notes as you add patients.
- Access patient demographics and referral screens from the Group Appointment screen to edit patient information.
- Confirm, check in, and check out individual patients in a Group Appointment.
- Create a Group Session Note that is saved in each patient’s record.
- Move, copy, and delete Group Appointments.
- View Group Appointments in the Left Pane and in Scheduler columns.
- View Group Appointments stacked or side-by-side.
- Set a maximum number of patients for Group Appointment Types.
- Set an override pin for specific users to add more than the maximum patients to a Group Appointment.
Setup
Role Setup
Go to Scheduler | Make Group Appointments.
Assign the Make Group Appointments privilege in Role Setup to users who make and edit group appointments.
Go to EHR View Access | View Group Session. Assign the View Group Session privilege to users who can view group appointment notes.
User Setup
Go to User Details | Scheduler Override PIN.
Assign users a PIN to let them override a group appointment’s maximum participants.
Note: This is the same PIN that allows a user to override Hold and Block restrictions. Role Setup privileges determine what the user is able to override using this PIN.
Appointment Type Setup
Go to Master Files | Appointments | Appointment Types.
Note: Group appointment types are unique. When you use a group appointment type to make an appointment, that appointment cannot be changed to another appointment type. Non-group appointments cannot be changed to group appointments either.
Additional Columns
If you have Client Support Services enable the Allow Multiple Page Groups system default, additional pages display in the Page drop-down, not as page links below the scheduler as previously.
Note: When creating columns, consider the user experience your schedulers will have. The more columns you define, the narrower each column becomes on the screen. Also, more columns means longer screen refresh time as you move around
Modules (PM)
AdvancedCQM
We have updated the AdvancedCQM™ module to send you a notification in the PM message center when a report you initiated is complete and ready to view. We have also made several minor AdvancedCQM screen updates for improved workflow.
Note: These changes are being released in conjunction with the AdvancedCQM module roll out.
New Patient Chart Overview (EHR)
We are excited to announce that we have a new AdvancedEHR® Patient Chart with an updated look and new functionality to reduce time in your workflow. The new patient chart will be released in stages in the next several months.
When you open a patient’s chart, new Patient Cards display chart and medical information such as medications, problems, allergies, and notes so you can quickly view a summary of recent patient information. Limited patient demographic information is also displayed.
The Chart Header has been replaced by a patient Demographics tab that opens in the Chart Details pane, so you have more room to view chart items. Other chart header items such as allergies and problems have been added as Patient Cards.
On the new chart, you can easily open new and existing chart items, medical information, and patient demographics by clicking on an item on a Patient Card. Each chart item, medical information item, and patient demographics now opens as an individual tab. You can have up to ten tabs open for each patient.
Go to Patients search | select a patient.
The new patient chart is laid out and functions similarly to the classic patient chart
Patient Billing (PM)
New Patient Billing Options
To provide increased flexibility and greater control over the patient billing process, we have added the following:
- Respect Billing Cycle Days check box
- Run Patient Billing by Visit system default
Respect Billing Cycle Days
The Respect Billing Cycle Days check box is set per billing rule, and allows the system to use the Statement Billing Cycle Days setting from the Responsible Party screen to determine when to begin the collections process, rather than using the Aging Days setting in the Billing Rules master file.
Go to Master Files | Account Types.
Run Patient Billing by Visit System Default
You can now run patient billing based on the latest patient visit date. When you run patient billing based on visits, patient balances move through your billing cycle independently rather than as an account group.
Note: This system default is read-only. Contact Client Support Service to use this option.
Payment Entry (PM)
Responsible Party Payment Entry
We have updated the look and feel of the Responsible Party Payment Entry payment screen. As a part of this enhancement, the OK and Capture buttons are combined when running a credit card transaction.
Note: The updated payment screen displays if your practice has been upgraded to our latest credit card processing product.
