System Requirements and Setup
For information about system requirements, role setup, provider setup, and telemedicine settings, see the PM AdvancedTelemedicine help file.

Start a Scheduled Telemedicine Appointment

You can start a scheduled telemedicine appointment three ways:

  • From the Patient screen
  • From the patient’s facesheet
  • From the telemedicine appointment

Tap the Patient icon.

View a list of all telemedicine appointments for the day in the Telemedicine section of the Patients screen.
From this screen, you can start or reconnect to a call, end a call in progress, and apply charges to the visit.

We have updated appointment cards on the patient facesheet. When you tap More on an appointment card to view a list of future and past appointments, you can now tap on a a future appointment to open the appointment card where you can see appointment details and edit the appointment.
We have also updated all chart items on the patient facesheet to display the patient information bar for an easier and more consistent workflow.

Documents and Images

You can now upload document and image files to the patient’s chart from your iCloud® Drive.

Prescriptions

We have updated the prescription confirmation workflow, so you can now sign, send, and print prescriptions on the Confirm screen.
We have also added the Supervising Provider field on the Medication screen, so you can select a supervising provider on a prescription just as you can in EHR and PM ePrescribing.

Message Filters

We have added the following new filters and sorting features to Messages:

  • Messages sent To All (multiple recipients) or just To Me.
  • Deleted Only messages.
  • Multi-select specific subjects or All subjects.
  • Sort messages in ascending or descending order by Date or Subject.
Message History

You can now view a patient’s message history from the patient’s facesheet. Tap the Message History icon to display all internal and patient portal messages associated with the patient for the selected time frame.
Tap the filter icon to view messages from the Last 30 Days, Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, Last 6 Months, Last Year, or All.
The default time frame is Last 30 Days.

Note: A badge displays next to the Message History icon to indicate how many messages are associated with the patient for the selected time frame.

Link Chart Items

To match EHR functionality, you can now link the following saved chart items to patient notes, prescriptions, lab orders, and documents and images in the mobile and iPhone app:

  • Charge Slips
  • Lab Orders
  • Notes (iPad® only)
  • Prescriptions
  • Documents & Images

View linked chart items in EHR.

Touch ID

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
