Multi-Factor Authentication in AdvancedMD & AdvancedMD Mobile

AdvancedMD offers free 2FA as an optional service to give you an extra layer of security that works in conjunction with the username and password by adding a second security code to your login verification that only you can access (such as receiving the code in your email account). We also offer a 2FA security code via an authenticator app on your smartphone. By setting 2FA system defaults, your practice administrator can require 2FA for your entire office, regardless of how many locations you have, as part of an increased security initiative. If you do not wish to globally mandate 2FA across your entire practice, individual users can choose to set up 2FA as part of their login process. Use your work (or personal) email account to request and get your security code. You can also get a security code by setting up an authenticator app on your smartphone. You can also use an authenticator app on your Smartphone. One example is Google Authenticator™.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”

Keith Berkowitz, MD
