AdvancedMD Announces Launch of Patient-managed ePayments

Medical Billing

AdvancedMD Payment Center within the Patient PortalAdvancedMD, the pioneer of Rhythm™, announces the availability of ePayments, which facilitates electronic payments to help practices collect outstanding patient balances and reduce aging A/R more quickly and conveniently. ePayments is available through two intuitive online services – the AdvancedMD patient portal and a new standalone payment portal. Both allow patients to easily make credit card payments; the patient portal gives access to past statements for tax purposes.

As part of the AdvancedPatient suite of patient engagement solutions, ePayments is integrated across the AdvancedMD Rhythm cloud platform, giving the fastest way to collect patient payments, send patient reminders, manage alerts and track payments. Automation triggers a text or email payment notification reminder, based on the patient’s communication preference at intervals the practice sets. Patients receive a clear picture of what is owed and have a convenient way to pay either through their Smartphone or a desktop browser.

Front office and billing staff can use ePayments to expand ways they’ve traditionally collected patient payments: online patient portal, in office, and phone-in payments. ePayments also makes it easy to set up hardship payment plans. AdvancedMD supports multiple patient statement options: online, an automated print and mail service, or practices can print in-office, stuff and mail.
