Introducing clinical additions to AdvancedMD on the iPad

EMR/EHR

blog-ipad-release-v1

Our latest release gives you total access to your EHR templates and note capture capabilities. You can use an iPad or iPad mini to fully engage in clinical documentation from anywhere. Notes can be captured from your EHR templates with full functionality of acronym expansion and bookmarks. You can open existing unsigned notes for review and make edits, then subsequently save and sign notes.

Version 1.5 offers a unique adjunct capability to your clinical documentation, not just a watered down version of the full functionality in AdvancedMD EHR. You get timesaving acronym expansion as you capture notes. Bookmark support helps you quickly access historical information and data is prepopulated from previous visits. Easily and quickly build clinical notes from your EHR SubNote library. SubNotes can be dropped into your note as you capture your clinical documentation so patient exam workflows are documented in a natural way.

We’re excited to offer you this powerful mobile capability. This marks the next step in our long-term strategy of providing cutting edge mobile solutions that let you achieve greater success in private practice. Take a look at the key features of this release:

Capture images within the note

Images can be captured and then annotated on the iPad. Because images also appear in the EHR, your workflow is improved on any device.

Improved patient search

Type a first or last name and the app finds the right patient. This intelligent search helps you access any patient immediately.

Refreshed interface for iOS 7

You’ll enjoy the clean look and feel. We’ve eliminated much of the visual noise from the interface so you can quickly find the data you are looking for.

Faster messaging

Staff communications are more productive as we’ve improved the performance and responsiveness.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
