Scheduler (EHR)
We are excited to announce that we have integrated a subset of functionality of the PM Scheduler into EHR. The EHR Scheduler features function the same as they do in the PM Scheduler.

The Scheduler will be rolled out in stages over the next few months. The EHR Classic Schedule is still available in the Home menu. On the scheduler, you can:

  • Add, edit, move, copy, and delete appointments
  • Add patients to the wait list, and wait list patients to the schedule
  • Add blocks and holds
  • Search for available appointment times
  • Set patient appointments to the correct status
  • View and update rooming information (Coming Soon)

Note: Rooming information will only be available if you are using the AdvancedRooming™ module in PM. AdvancedRooming will be rolled out in stages over the next few months.

Patient Appointment Cards
Appointment Cards show patient information and include a Quick Action Toolbar, that allows you to move, copy, and edit appointments as well as select an appointment status. You can access appointment cards two ways:

  • Hover over an appointment to view the appointment card.
  • Click an appointment to open the Appointment Card with the Appointment Menu that contains more tools that allow you to cancel, delete, and mark appointments as other, as well as view conflicts and messaging preferences.

New Scheduler Appointment Overview (PM)
We have made the following enhancements to the new Appointment Scheduler:

  • Calendar jump buttons
  • Updated appointment colors in relevant appointment related master files

Calendar Jump Buttons
You can now skip through the calendar using the new jump buttons:

  • 1W – 7 days
  • 2W – 14 days
  • 4W – 28 days
  • 6M – 182 days
  • 1Y – 365 days

You can select more than one button to skip forward through the calendar. For example, if you want to skip three weeks into the future, you can click on the 1W button followed immediately by the 2W button. The combined prescribed days for the sum of these two buttons is three weeks (21 days). Because you can select more than one button, there is a slight delay after each click to allow time for multiple selections.

Notes:

  • The calendar jumps the selected number of days from the original date.
  • The new date is highlighted.
  • This feature only displays dates in the future.

Updated Colors in Master Files
We have updated the colors in relevant master files to match the new Appointment Scheduler colors. Updates were made in the following master files:

  • Provider Scheduler Setup
  • Block/Hold Setup
  • Appointment Types

Note: Due to client request, gray has been updated to a shade similar to the pre-release color.

“[Our] patients are very well-educated and well-informed, and they want to see results quickly. The practice has to run extremely efficiently and be accessible to them. The nice thing about [AdvancedMD] is it has allowed me to be more efficient both in and out of the office. Now I don’t have to come back into the office, which is great for my family and everything else. It saves me a lot of time – probably an hour a day on the three days I work in the second office.”
